Since I was a kid, I have always liked taking things apart, so I went to college to learn how to put them back together again and have been tinkering in my spare time ever since.
I bought my first house in 2003 and have been let loose on maximising space. I have renovated my houses from 50's or 70's decor to modern living.
I have rewired one property and remodeled numerous others replacing kitchens and bathrooms. I have also completed a difficult attic loft conversion with the infamous Brighton "bungaroosh" walls.
After spending 25 years in the physical security industry, I decided on a career change and to finally do what all my family and friends said I should have done for years and set up my own business.
I've been lucky enough to have friends who needed experienced help. One was renovating a houseboat from the hull up, & another ran a successful building company & needed some extra help. Working for a professional building firm increased my level of expertise's where "time is money" & work needs to be right first time.
This work gave me the financial support & experience so I could grow my business through recommendations & word of mouth.
Last year I went back to college to study electrics & passed my City & Guilds level 2 diploma in electrical installations (2365-02) which has allowed me to back up my knowledge with a certified qualification.
